SIGNIS Caribe launched a comprehensive training program for the training of communication specialists that benefits communicators and pastoral agents from the Antilles Episcopal Conference (AEC) region. The objective of the program is to contribute to the development of social communications in the region.

This Antilles Communication Specialists Training (CAST) program will last for three years, during which time the participants from the 18 dioceses of the ACS will be able to produce high quality communication resources that will contribute to the development of social communications in the region.

According to the information published in the digital magazine Punto de Encuentro (December 2020) , SIGNIS Caribe launched this Training program last year, from January to August 2020, after the pilot proposal that was carried out in Trinidad resulted successful. Due to health security measures due to the pandemic, the program had to be restructured as a virtual course.

Facilitators and the CAST management team defined and developed a comprehensive curriculum in each training area, including audio, print and video production.

The training program for communication specialists, CAST, began in January 2021 and will last for three years, during which time the students will receive comprehensive training that will allow them to acquire solid theoretical and technical knowledge for the production of audiovisual resources that They will contribute to developing social communications in the region.

The 2021 promotion of the CAST includes the participation of twenty-eight communicators from six Archdioceses and dioceses of Las Antillas, and five areas of social communication
