Communication as a process of encounter

Within the framework of the celebrations of the World Day of Social Communications (JMCS) , on Thursday, May 20, from 6:00 p.m. (Lima, Quito, Bogotá time) the Symposium will be held with the theme Come and see: Communicate finding people where and how they are . The event is organized by the Latin American Center for Research in Art and Communication (CLIAC), with the academic support of the Catholic University of Trujillo, in alliance with the Peruvian Association of Communication Professionals (APEPCOM) and the Latin American and Caribbean Catholic Association of Communication. (SIGNIS ALC).

 

The virtual meeting, which will be broadcast live through the Facebook page of CLIAC , the Faculty of Humanities of the Catholic University of Trujillo and SIGNIS ALC . seeks to reflect on the importance and need to relate reality from a perspective of encounter and sharing, not only in the media and communication platforms, but also in the human networks in which it interacts.

 

The symposium will have the participation of the vice president of SIGNIS ALC, María José Centurión (Paraguay); the coordinator of the Audiovisual Communication in Digital Media career at the Universidad Privada del Norte, Guillermo Maura Mau (Peru); and, the digital content advisor and journalist at Grupo Multimedia El Deber, from Bolivia, Juan Manuel Ijurko (Bolivia-Spain).

Every year, the Latin American Center for Research in Art and Communication (CLIAC), together with various higher education entities, such as the Catholic University of Trujillo (UCT) and communication networks, organizes a symposium on the central theme of the Pope's message for the JMCS. The academic event is held in order to bring the essence of the message to students and communication professionals.
