The Communication Area of the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar invites the Webinar on Cinema and Digital Narratives for educators.
The objective of this activity is to design strategies for experiential learning by telling stories.
David Kolb argues that the great problem of education has been concentrated in work in the cognitive field, which limits the ability to transfer their knowledge in concrete facts and situations (Kolb, 2005). Digital narratives applied to training processes are related to Kolb's experiential learning approach: concrete experience, reflective observation, conceptualization and active experience. However, in the field of communication the process occurs in reverse to that in the educational system described by Kolb: it begins with active experience in pre-production, it continues with conceptualization. In the production stage an abstract scheme like the script is combined with the active experience of filming and directing.
