Biography

Dr. Magimai Pragasam is the Director of the 'Center for Communication and Mind Management' (CCMM), India, dedicated to Media Training, Production and Research.

He holds Master’s Degrees in ‘Mass Communication and Journalism’ from Alagappa University and ‘Sociology’ from Mysore University, India. He completed his ‘Diploma in Film Production’ from Xavier Institute of Communication, Mumbai and ‘Journalism’ from Mysore University. He did his PhD in ‘Anthropology and Communication’ in Madras University on the topic ‘Communication and Empowerment of Women’.

He also studied ‘Social Communication’ at CREC-AVEX, Lyon, France, ‘Christian Communication’ at Trinity and All Saints College, University of Leeds, ‘Television Production’ at National Catholic Radio and Television Centre, Hatch End, London, and ‘Cultural Communication’ at Selly Oak Colleges, Birmingham, UK.

He has scripted and directed over eighty short films and documentaries on Communications, Media and Society. He writes for magazines and conducts training in Communication, Media, Life skills and NLP (Nuero Linguistic Programming) for members of the government, non-government and Church organizations in India and Asian countries.

He has been acknowledged as one of the top ten trainers in NLP in India by Silicon India Magazine for the year 2020.

He teaches ‘Communication’ at various Seminaries and Church Institutions in India. He is also a Visiting Professor at the Department of Christian Studies, University of Madras, India.
